ABOUT ME

I’ve worked as a counselling psychologist and psychotherapist in London since 2008. In addition to running a private practice, I’ve worked for a number of counselling organisations, including four years with Kingston Women’s Centre and three years with Mind.

About Me

I am a qualified and experienced Chartered Counselling Psychologist and EMDR accredited practitioner. My extensive career includes working as a Highly Specialist Counselling Psychologist in the NHS, where I supported clients facing complex and enduring mental health problems and enduring mental health challenges.

I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space for clients navigating a wide range of issues, including complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, complex bereavement, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anger/emotional regulation difficulties, and more.

I am committed to keeping up with the latest developments in psychological research and therapy to offer a personalised, evidence-base approach. Together, we’ll work to understand your current challenges and identify effective paths forward.

My integrative approach allows me to draw from a range of evidence-based therapies, ensuring that our work together is tailored to your unique needs and goals. Approaches I may incorporate include:

  • Existential Therapy: Exploring the human condition, focusing on freedom, responsibility, and the search for meaning.

  • Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviours, effective for anxiety, depression, and more.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): An evidence-based therapy for trauma and PTSD, using guided eye movements to process traumatic memories.

  • Mindfulness-Based Therapy: Helping clients become more aware of their present thoughts and feelings; beneficial for stress, anxiety, and depression.

  • Humanistic Therapy: Focusing on self-actualization, growth, and self-improvement, with an emphasis on empathy and the therapeutic relationship.
